About the CSSC

What is the CSSC?
The CSSC stands for Cronulla Sutherland Supporters Club. Our main goal is to actively encourage supporters of the Cronulla Sharks to get out there and support the club that they love. We organise bus trips, interstate trips, home game seating and other activities for our members and their guests. If you've been to a game in the past few years, you might recognise us as the large group of Sharks fans all decked our in the same gear, generally making a lot of noise and having a lot of fun.

Who can join the CSSC?
The CSSC is open for anyone to join. We do charge a membership fee, but the benefits you'll receive from being a member ultimately far outweigh the initial outlay. We also have options for members who live outside the greater Sydney region and would still like to be a part of the fun.

What sort of benefits do you receive from being a member?
Your membership buys you the following:
- a CSSC retro tshirt (our uniform)
- a CSSC truckers hat
- individually numbered CSSC keyring
- members prices on our bus trips. To offer an example: in 2008, CSSC members paid $15 for our trip to Brookvale Oval. This included not only a return bus ride from the Shire to the stadium, but also general admission entry into the ground and beverages included for the bus ride. For non CSSC members, general admission to Brookvale was $17, not a bad saving at all.
- invitations to special events including our annual season launches, end of season functions, and other events as the opportunities arise.
- access to the CSSC internet forum.
- regional members also receive a free ticket to any regular premiership Sharks game of their choice.

When did the CSSC form?
The idea for the CSSC was born in late 2005, during a game against the Tigers at Toyota Park in which Sharks fans were outnumbered by opposition fans. A small group of Sharks fans vowed never to let that happen again, and the idea snowballed from there. 2006 was the CSSC's debut season, our first appearance against Manly at Brookvale. Since then, we've gone from success to success, and at the end of 2008 we boasted in excess of 300 members.
